Job Summary:
The Senior Full Stack Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale integration solutions using advanced technologies such as MuleSoft, Apache Camel, and cloud platforms like OpenShift and AWS. This role involves collaborating with multiple teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable API and integration services that meet complex business requirements within a regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver and sustain API development and integration solutions throughout their lifecycle.
- Analyze requirements, design, build, test, and implement enterprise information structures and applications.
- Develop and maintain corporate policies, procedures, and standards ensuring compliance with legislation and information integrity.
- Ensure security, privacy, and quality assurance requirements are met in line with relevant regulations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including system architecture, design documents, and technology stack descriptions.
- Prepare database schemas, entity-relationship diagrams, and data flow diagrams.
- Develop test plans, test cases, and track defects and issues to ensure high-quality integration delivery.
- Engage stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical integration specifications.
- Facilitate technical discussions and resolve data ownership, governance, and integration challenges across teams.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Advanced experience with Apache Camel, MuleSoft, Enterprise Java, REST APIs, and data transformation technologies (JSON/XML).
- Expertise in OpenShift/Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
- Strong SQL skills and knowledge of fault-tolerant integration patterns including retries, dead-letter queues, and monitoring.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, source control, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience designing complex integration solutions and producing architectural and technical documentation.
- Ability to ensure compliance with security, privacy, and quality assurance standards consistent with legislation.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, and S3.
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting MuleSoft integration flows and reusable integration services.
- Knowledge of enterprise application ecosystems including CRM, ERP, asset management, and regulatory/compliance systems.
- Experience applying API-led connectivity principles in MuleSoft-based architectures.
- Public sector experience.
Special Considerations:
- Must adhere to strict security, privacy, and legislative compliance requirements (e.g., MFIPPA).
- Work involves handling complex enterprise information and ensuring data integrity and governance.
- Collaborative work across multiple teams with a focus on stakeholder engagement and governance resolution.
