WANTED: A CREATIVE DISRUPTOR (IN THE BOURBON WORLD)

(Or the more official title: Head of Social & Content, Green River Bourbon

Location: Louisville, KY or Remote *

Hours: Monday-Friday 8-5 with travel, evenings and weekends as needed for this type of work

* Remote candidates will need to be in Kentucky a couple of times per month (fair warning - you may never want to leave).

WHO WE ARE:

Green River makes genuinely great bourbon at our home in Kentucky - without charging you for all the extra stuff wrapped around it... the hype, the scarcity, and the marketing theater that other brands call “craft.” We like to call it "Bourbon Without the Bullsh!t”. And it’s not just a tagline; it’s how we run the whole business.

While other job ads talk about “fast-paced environments”, or “wearing many hats”, we're not doing that here. No jargon. No fluff. No thirty bullet points hiding a job description nobody bothered to describe honestly.

WHAT’S THE JOB:

• Make Green River impossible to ignore across social channels

• Disrupt the bourbon category (while having fun doing it)
• Challenge the way industry talks about itself
• Build genuinely compelling creative where bourbon and culture meet
• Lead the content agenda while building the creator and influencer network
• Lead internal social and production team to decide where Green River should show up
• Decide when we should take a big swing

You set the voice, you call the creative shots, and we trust you to know the difference between "worth the risk" and "worth a lawyer." And if you occasionally guess wrong? Well, we've got a line item in the budget for that. You will have the authority, resources and backing to move quickly, and build work that real bourbon drinkers really care about .

WHO YOU ARE:

• Successful : You have probably done some version of this before.
• Driven : Maybe you helped take a challenger brand from relatively unknown, to suddenly everywhere.
• Risk taker : Maybe you worked at a brand that built a cult following by making fun of its own category quirks, with a straight face.
• Influencer : Social is your jam.

But you definitely understand what people care about. And you definitely have excellent creative judgment. And you most definitely have created work that people give a sh!t about!
